Introduction

The 3U VPX XMC Carrier is a rugged conduction cooled single slot 3U VPX XMC Carrier that can connect one XMC module to a standard VPX backplane using PCIexpress 1x 8lane or 2x4 lane configurations.

A XMC module can therefore have two PCIexpress chips on board without using an additional switch on the XMC board. A onboard DC/DC converter generates +/-12V for analog circuitry on the VPX module. The 3U VPX XMC Carrier can supply additional supply voltages using two PMC connectors.

Introduction

 

The 3U VPX I7 CPU board is a high-speed 3U OPEN VPX single-board computer, based on the Intel® Core™i7 processor. It features two ports with 4x PCI Express lanes each and one 10Gigabit Ethernet port.

The 3U VPX I7 features a MILbus chip and has a 256GB SSD SATA boot disk onboard.

 

This board is available with Amphenol Backplane Systems VITA 46 / 48 compliant VIPER™ VPX connectors. This is an extremely ruggedized 10Gbps connector, securing tomorrow’s most intensive land based, marine and avionics environmental packaging challenges.
